Buoyed by the first win of the season the Lowestoft Sixth Form College boys went into this game full of confidence. With a few new additions to the team from the previous fixture the team was all set to put in a strong performance against the Easton and Otley lads.

Lowestoft made the perfect start with less than a minute on the clock Harry Pickess bundled home the ball from close range to put Lowestoft one up early on. The actioned continued when Easton and Otley equalised shortly after on 9 mins. This did not deter the Lowestoft boys who scored again with an excellent attacking move from the kick off with Harry Pickess again converting the chance, bringing his tally to 4 in 2 games. The game settled after that with Lowestoft having the lion share of possession. With excellent possession play from all players, which included nice moves involving Callum Bell, Dylan Bertie, Luke Chamberlain, Hugo Colby and Syer Shulver. The pressure that Lowestoft were applying was too much for Easton when Hugo Colby made it 3-1 on the 20min mark. The game then became more of an cagey affair with Easton coming into the game more. The back four of Lowestoft were solid, Syer Shulver, Cameron Caswell, Daniel Pitts and Aidan Smith. Lowestoft Sixth Form College came into the game more and with some excellent one touch football; Dylan broke into the box and was bought down. After winning the penalty Dylan calmly slotted the ball away to give Lowestoft a commanding lead. With the pressure building again against Easton and Otley Lowestoft became too strong. With multiple efforts from Callum Bell, all of which narrowing missing the post with one making the goal keeper pull off an outstanding save. Hugo Colby then showed Callum how it was by with an excellent finish in the top corner from 20 yards out, leaving the keeper no chance at all. With seconds remaining it looked like Lowestoft Sixth Form College were going in at the break with a 5-1 lead. However a fortunate defection from a free kick gave Easton and Otley something to cheer about with the ball finding the back of the net with the last kick of the half.

Coming out from the first half Lowestoft Sixth Form College knew the job in hand and the first goal was vitally important. Dylan Bertie gave Lowestoft the goal they need 5 minutes into the second half. Lowestoft Sixth Form College started to really settle into the game with some fantastic football. Mid way through the second half Callum Bell got his goal. Finishing off a brilliant team move, which was thoroughly deserved after a battling performance as always. Then came a couple of changes which gave Lowestoft Sixth Form College a new lease of life. Rhys Hunter was incredibly effective down the left hand side. Linking up with Euan Newrick, Callum Bell, Hugo Colby and Harry Pickess. Lowestoft’s quality start to prove too much for Easton with Harry Pickess completing his hat-trick on 66 mins. Making it 5 goals in 2 games, really impressive form early on in the season. The last 10 minutes saw more goals for Callum Bell and Hugo Colby rounding off a 10-2 win for Lowestoft Sixth Form College. Lowestoft’s display was impressive and proved too much for Easton and Otley.

The Man of the Match award this week spilt between Syer Shulver for his all-round performance and Harry Pickess for his hat trick. Massive well done to Syer and Harry- top performances!

Lowestoft Sixth Form College’s next game is away at Peterborough after half term- with Lowestoft looking to maintain their winning ways.
